Description: Additional photos available. Wooden scrolled French 19th century letter,bill or stationary holder is most unique with a hand painted background of burgundy and black tortoise shell or tiger design. The artist has also painted with a grain as well which resembles leather on the front and bottom,the back being a bit more smooth. Beautiful white and pink orchids in various sizes with green leaves sprawl across the header with hole for hanging on nail as well as the front. Very unusual to find the two combined,very talented artist with detailing. In excellent condition with only very slight wear to background paint on the two ends. Surprisingly the piece is not signed. Measures 8L X 9H X 2.25D.
