Description: A fantastic First Empire Clock, made during the period of Napoleon (1st) 1804 to 1815 , marble and Bronze accents , measuring 19 inches tall ( almost 50 cm) and 10 inches wide, in excellent conditions A great example of a piece having the most representative decorative motifs of the French First Empire period ,a real Museum piece, the Swans, the Rosette, the Palmette, the rigorous spirit of symmetry reminiscent of the Louis XIV style , motifs on the piece´s right and left side correspond to one another in every detail , the rectilinearity of the design produces a severity alien to 18th practice.. simply Great !!! Best First Empire period Clock , we have found. We will proudly send a Certification of authenticity with it.
