Description:
A pair of French Empire dual patinated 3-light bronze and marble candlesticks. The bronzes are marked HJ. The squared deep green and white veined marble is mounted with a dore bronze socole with engine turned designed. The base supports a marble cylinder that is decorated with raging lions and fruits and flowers. The cylinder rises to support a tapered two-color bronze pediment with applied decorations that form the base of the black patinated caryatid that holds the two candle branches. A third larger candle cup sits atop the caryatid's head. Additional photos are available upon request.
