5 French Appetizer Dessert Forks Porcelain 20C
Description: Set of 5 Appetizer or Dessert Forks with Porcelain Handle, Made in Second Half of 20C in France. The handles are decorated with gilt foliage and flowers (probably painted) on white ground. The handle terminates in a brass mount to which is attached the stainless steel shank. The forks have three tines. On the shank front is stamped "Stainless Steel" and "France."

Price Comparison: $85-$100 at Vintage Home Furnishings Store. Dimensions: Each: 6-1/2" Long, 1/2" Wide, 1/2" Deep. Total weight: 1/2 lb. Condition: The brass is heavily tarnished and the gilding is a little tarnished. There are also a few scratches to the tines. Otherwise fine.
