Description: This is pretty much top of the line for German Art Nouveau tiles. This Winter scene of a woman against a yellow and orange sky, the landscape topped in snow. The porcelain tile is HUGE, measuring nearly 6.5" x 18", and is housed in an old arts and crafts frame in black.

Two examples of this image are shown in the book Carl Sigmund Luber, His Life and Work as Artist for the Art Nouveau Ceramics of Johann von Schwarz 1896-1906, written by my friend Wolfgang Konig on page 123. The back has an ink mark XVIII and the impressed numbers 5108. The condition is excellent, with one small .5 inch scratch to the lower left corner. A very rare and desirable piece.

Combined shipping is always available at Bungalow BILL!
