Description: 19th. century large needlework representing Mary with Jesus and John as children. The colors are well preserved inspite of the age of the needlework. It is mainly done in gros point, except the faces and exposed body parts that are done in petit point. Gilded frame that appears to be original to the period. A very small area containing about 4 needle spaces is missing, however is seen only on close scrutiny. Size: 21.9" x 18.1" (55 cm. X 46 cm.). Estimated value: $3.500.
