Description:
Opening are 2.5" x 4" (6.4cm x 10cm) pretty much the standard size of early Cartes de Visite (CDV) Not being a tramp Art expert I don't know if this frame can be classified as such. It was carved from 1" high strips of wood rather than from the thinner Cigar Box wood. Striking "Maltese Crosses" interlock the vertical & horizontal pieces. The whole unit was then stained and heavily varnished. The frame is as solid as a rock. All original but for the new glass I had to cut & the hanging eye screws. A super attractive piece of Antique North American folk art! Tintype are included if the buyer wants them.....To view the OTHER FRAMES I have listed, just click on the "VIEW THIS DEALER'S OTHER ITEMS" button on the left, then type the word in the search box. Canadians will pay applicable taxes...Tracked & insured shipping to addresses in North America $12
