Description:
This Folded Victorian Valentine Day Card, made of paper and lace is from the 1887. On the front is a pair of opera glasses with flowers that says: This glass to me is dear, For, love, it draws thee near! with 2 other cutouts attached of flowers, 1 single rose and 1 in the shape of a heart with a single rose that has Thine in love inside. Inside the back cover is a stamp mark which says:
My Offering Bright flowers are with the traveler, On plain and mount and sea, So love is in the human heart Whereever we may be. Under that someone wrote in pencil 1887. On the back in pencil someone wrote $25- with glue marks that show this card was attached to a gift.
