Description:
Flower Band pigeon blood shaker, in excellent condition, over 3" tall including the finial. Made by the Lancaster Glass Works around 1901-1902. 4-mold, not satinized like the one illustrated in Lechner's 2nd edition. The color in the photos is not precise, but the view which shows the color gradation is close. The red is quite intense, with the orange showing at the band. (I also have an example in clear ruby; it is heavier with a ground top edge, instead of the rough edge of this mold-blown piece.)
