Description:
Florence Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI are 10” and 10.5” tall. Each carries the Florence mark on the base, and each is signed. They date from the early 1940s to the late 1970s, and were made in Pasadena, CA, Now – condition. There is a little lace damage on Marie’s collar – at the left and to the back. But it is not noticeable, and I’ve included close-ups. Other than this damaged lace, they are in perfect condition. There is no other damage, and their articulated fingers are perfect. The gold trim is great; flowers are intact,. Louis is perfect, from the top of his head, down to his gold shoes. Kovel 2008 lists Marie Antoinette for $695, but Louis XVI is not listed, although the earlier Florence book by Foland lists him at $300. I’ve seen Marie Antoinette, alone, with lace damage, listed for over $750 on the net. My price for the two, with the slight damage around the collar, is $599.
