Figurative GOTHIC Cathedral Tower Bronze Clock ca 1830
Equipped with a Tower bell
This is a very impressive French Gothic Cathedral Tower Mantel clock with gild bronze ornaments and patinated case. Clock flanked by gilt Bronze Figurine of a Lady. Really exceptional model with tower which is equipped with a bell, that bell strikes almost at the same time as a bell behind the movement.
This clock was made around 1830 in France. Dial with Roman numerals signed.
The movement fitted with an anchor escapement, silk suspension and original pendulum.
Movement in good working condition striking 1/1 & ˝ hours on a large silvered bronze bell and at the tower bell.
Movement stamped by the maker: PONS 1827 Medaille D’OR (Gold Medal)
Numbered: 953. Monogram: ACD
Original Key and pendulum included. Clock is in very good condition due to the age.
