Description:
This is the big version of this very popular figural tobacco jar. Made in Germany c1890-1900. Hand-painted. Impressed numbers 46 6119. See Horowitz p 136 fig 602 for the same fellow in an orange jacket. The condition is excellent. Just a short hairline near the left elbow as pictured in the 2nd combination photograph. The piece looks mint from the outside. The glaze is slick, shiny & unblemished. An amusing addition to your Humidor collection or just to keep you company in your study or den. ....Please enlarge my photos for a closer look....To view MORE TOBACCO JARS or MAJOLICA I have listed...just click on the "VIEW THIS DEALER'S OTHER ITEMS" button on the left, then type the appropriate words in the search box.
