Description:
John & Thomas Seymour Federal mahogany work / end table with inlays of book-matched crotch mahogany, holly, boxwood, and ebony. English-made hardware, non-working locks, brass casters. Hand-rubbed finish.
Approximate dimensions: 21" wide x 17" deep x 30" high.
This work table was made for us by our master cabinetmakers in America. It is new and was a floor model in one of our stores. Nothing was ever placed on top of it (a bowl, a lamp, etc.), so it is in flawless condition.
So there is no confusion: this is a new John & Thomas Seymour Table, but it was made using the same methods, materials, techniques, and traditions as its antique counterpart, and was made in America (including all the carving), not Southeast Asia, China, or India.
Original Seymour tables can easily bring $100,000 at auction.
