Description: Beautifully made American Federal Period Four Drawer Chest, 1780-1840. Antique chestnut with mahogany banding over mahogany drawer facings. Hand-cut dovetails, hand-chamfered pine drawer bottoms and sides. Hardware appears original, certainly period: stamped pulls and escutcheons. Excellent antique condition. Satin finish is lovely and warm. This piece would make a statement in any room. From the estate of a Dallas collector, purchased at auction.
