Description: This very pretty handled aluminum basket with porcelain dish insert is marked: A Product of Farber & Shlevin Inc. Brooklyn, N.Y. The hammered aluminum basket has an ornate handle and decorations around the ruffled serrated rim and the porcelain plate has a scene of 2 Victorian Woman with a child with silver trim. In very good condition the plate does have some color loss but the basket is free of dings and dents and it measures 5 1/2 inches tall, 9 1/4 inches across the rim and the plate is approximately 6 3/8 inches across. A beautiful way to display cookies and small cakes and an addition to any Vintage Aluminum or Farber & Shlevin Collection.
