Description: This is an exquisite pair of Louis XV style occasional tables. There is no mistaking their unique quality and design and it will soon become the centrepiece of your furniture collection. These gorgeous pieces could be used as a beside table, a coffee table or a display table. Wherever you choose to place them, they are sure to be a talking point. The tables were inspired by the style of Louis XV and are made of walnut and kingwood, with incredibly detailed ormolu mounts. This styling was incredibly popular in France during the reign of Louis XV (1715-1774). The tables are finished with a profusion of decorative ormolu detailing, and Verde Antico marble tops. Most noticeable are the ormolu leaf style designs at the top and bottom of each leg. Ormolu is an imitation of gold and is used to ornament furniture and moldings.
