Description: This is a marvelous little green leather photo album that belonged, from what I can tell, a missionary in the 1860's.There are only five Carte de Vistie's photos but each one is pretty special. There is a great image of a priest and an Altenburg,German girl in her old world native costume which was taken by Herman Foych of Altenburg,Germany. There are boy soldiers and school masters. One of the images which I have provided for viewing shows an older gentleman with four girls. The inscription on the verso states this is Rev.Mr.Cummings and children from the Orphans home in Boston,Mass.This wonderful image was taken by Turner of Boston,Mass.Please request additional photographs if interested.
