Description:
A fine clean copy of "Fanny Hill : Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure", by John Cleland, published by Luxor Press of London in 1963. During a court action in 1963 in New York, Supreme Court Justice Arthur Klein dismissed the suit to ban "Fanny Hill" as obscene. "While the saga of Fanny Hill will undoubtedly never replace "Little Red Riding Hood" as a pet bedtime story," said the Justice in his 10 page decision, "It is quite possible that were Fanny transposed from her 18th century surroundings to our present day society, many things would cause her to blush....It does not contain one obscene word." Hard covers, 200 uncut pages. Ref. FHJCLP1/C5. FREE DELIVERY WITHIN MAINLAND UK : FULLY INSURED WORLDWIDE SHIPPING VIA ROYAL MAIL AIR FREIGHT.
