Description: This German beer stein is quite famous - it was designed by Richard Riemerschmid - he is considered as one of the most important Jugendstil (German version of Art Nouveau) designers - probably THE most inportant artist of this style. The stein is featured in all the books dedicated to beer stein collecting and Jugendstil art style.
The stein was manufactured by Reinhold Merkelbach - the most famous manufacturer of Jugendstil ceramics in Germany. The mold number is 1741. The beauty of theis stein is not in a complex design but rather in elegance and balance of all elements. The stein is in excellent flawless condition. It is a 1 liter version - even more rare than the 0.5L one. 9" tall.
