Description: FABULOUS VICTORIAN AESTHETIC DOUBLE SIDE BY SIDE SECRETARY / BOOKCASE Beautiful Center Cylinder Desk with Bookcase Ends Impressive Victorian Aesthetic Walnut Double side by Side Secretary / Bookcase, circa 1880's. Beautiful burl cylinder, fitted desk, with like new leather writing surface flanked by bookcases that have four adjustable shelves each. Nicely done stick & ball gallery adorns each section and decorative burl columns add a special touch. This unit comes with lots of storage including a beveled glass double door compartment and a small drawer above the desk, a desk drawer and double door storage compartment below the desk, and a functional drawer below each bookcase. Presented in beautiful professionally restored condition, all the polished brass hardware appears to be original, except one replaced escutcheon, the wavy glass in the bookcase doors is original and the beveled mirrored doors are original with some silver loss showing through.
