Description: Exquisite Burled Edge Victorian Walnut Marquetry Center Table with a shaped turtle top and most unusual step up burled rim (see photos). The inlay is fantastic with a delightful collage of musical instruments, flowers, and leaves in the ebonized center. The rest of the top is adorned with two ferocious gargoyle heads and more lovely flowers and scrolling. Notice the quality of the ebonized marquetry plaques on each side of the apron with beautifully inlaid instruments, sheet music, and floral arrangements. The bulbous legs are delicately tapered with original gilt incising. The cross stretcher base has more incising, rosettes, and a graceful center finial.
