The detailing includes a hand painted porcelain disc on the front of each, depicting a floral arrangement with a blue surround set on attractive ormolu mounts. The detailing also includes smaller porcelain discs in a similar manner along the top on the front. Ormolu is an imitation of gold and is used to ornament furniture and mouldings. Cornering the cabinets at the front at a 45 degree angle are two ebonised Corinthian columns, again featuring ormolu at the capital and foot as well as decorating the length of them. The pier cabinets are made from burr walnut. The beautiful grain is accentuated by the timber polish, which is particularly attractive on the top surface and around the porcelain discs on the front, which are surrounded by multiple square ormolu borders. Inside are three equal sized shelves.
