Description: An exquisite French 17th century Cuirassiers close helmet. The skull is formed from 16 fluted panels decorated with bands of engraving depicting animals and foliage. It has brass rivets around its base and a brass plume holder with an acorn finial at the crest of the comb. In good condition with old repairs.
