Description: Hand thrown pottery vase with pinched rim. Ewenny pottery, marked on bottom. These ptters are still in existence, one of the oldest continuouslly family owned potteries in business. (7th generation, still going strong!) The colors are absolutely gorgeous on this art pottery vase, rich amber browns, gold and green. It displays a perfectly proportioned sensuous curve belling out into a three lobed rim reminiscent of a calla lily. The glaze has crazed, but there is no damage on this vase! A great example of arts & crafts movement pottery, the Ewenny pieces are extremely rare when they are this old and in excellent condition.
