Description: Seventh in the Wings of Texaco Ertl diecast series, authentically replicates to scale Texaco's first plane, the 1927 Ford Tri-Motored Monoplane, referred to as the 'Tin Goose'. Highly detailed, scaled to size and fully functional bank.

"On December 15, 1927, Texaco acquired its first airplane, the Texaco #1, a Ford Tri-Motored Monoplane. Purchased from the Ford Aeroplane Company of Dearborn, Michigan, the plane was piloted by the veteran pilot and record speed holder, Captain Frank M. Hawks. Wherever he toured the country in this plane, crowds of visitors would come to view it."

All components of this estate collection piece are in mint condition and includes paperwork. We were advised the owner was a corporate employee who would receive each new issue in the series at the annual Texaco Christmas party.
