Description:
Offering this rare and hard to find antique dairy creamery thermometer in it's original wood box, with the original antique cotton padding inside the box. The thermometer is 7" long x 1/2" diameter, with a eye ring in the glass at the end to add a string onto for dipping into the cream. It is marked "ENTERPRISE DAIRY & CREAMERY SUPPLY CO. COLUMBUS O. DAIRY THERMOMETER, FAHRENHEIT SCALE MADE IN U.S.A." on the interior scale area, and also has a double sides scale that reads from 20-180. There is also places marked on the scale for "FREEZING, CHURNING, CHEESE, & SCALDING". The thermometer is glass within the glass exterior, all in very good shape. The therometer reads in a gray color, a little hard to see in some lighting, otherwise works great. The box has the old lap joint corners with the sliding top, all in very good shape overall, has protected the thermometer very well for the past 80-90 years! A rare antique thermometer!
