Description:
Blue transfer print saucer form the Enoch Wedgewood (Tunstall) Ltd. company in England. The pattern is 'Countryside' and is marked under the glaze on the back in blue ink as follows: "Countryside" Enoch Wedgewood (Tunstall)LTD, England, Trade mark, Founded in 1835. Genuine hand engraving, decorated under glaze, Detergent and Acid Resisting Colors' There is an age crack from the rim to about 3/4 of the way across the saucer, but it does not move. There is also a chip 1/4" wide on the back that is not visible from the front. The scene is a lovely small mill cottage on a pond with trees, clouds and waterside plants. Dimensions: 6 inches diameter x .75 inches deep.
