Description: This is the Enicar "Sherpa Jet." What a great name for a watch! If you were going to Tibet or any exotic place for that matter - this was the watch for you! It's rugged, handsome, and made from durable stainless steel. I'd rather have this watch than the Rolex "Explorer" that Sir Edmund Hillary wore. Yep, It was Hillary that got the credit for summiting Everest but he couldn't have done it without a sherpa named Tenzig Norgay and just as Norgay augmented Hillary's summit, this explorer's watch will guide you throughout your trials and tribulations. The movement in this watch is a fine 24 jewel automatic that only requires you to strap it on and go! You need something reliable if you're on an adventure - or just living an adventurous life! The stainless steel case is in great condition and shows only the most modest signs of wear on the screw-down back! That "Sherpa" insignia on the back is still crisp and it means the watch was made (circa 1969) to endure the toughest conditions. Notice that it has two crowns and a red and black GMT hand. The second crown is for setting the inner bezel to your location so that the GMT hand will indicate the universal time in Greenwich. It also gives an indication of night and day due to the silver and black background color delineation. Another nice feature is the date window at the three o'clock position. With an automatic like this all you need to do is strap it on and start your day. The automatic rotor will keep this explorer's watch wound with your every move! The stainless steel band has a Enicar Logo marked deployment clasp for easy on and off. The silvered dial is near perfect and has luminous dots at each marker, and lunimous hands that really show off this gem! It can be yours!
