Description: Book plate engraving from the Nouvelle Bibliotheque des Voyages, published 1842. The engraving is titled “Levaillant Dessine un Kobobiquois et Sa Femme”. This is from Tome 8 of the collection, plate 7. From a collection of books of famous voyages, published in 1842. This plate is unusual since it is printed crookedly on the page. Can of course be trimmed for framing. Page measures 21 cm by 12.5 cm (8.1/4 inches by 5 inches). Very good condition .
