Description:
Covered beaker or Pokal. This beaker is made of incredibly spectacular colorless clear crystal. It has the look of being carved and on the front it has a deeply engraved woodland scene of a deer and trees. The stem is shapely with a central knop. The condition of this Pokal is just about perfect having only some minor scratching on the very underneath of the base - just the right amount wear - just the way we like to see it. If you look in the book entitled Moser 1857-1997 on the first few pages you will see several examples of this type of work. Most are attributed to J. F. Hoffmann of Karlovy Vary around the 1870’s. They appear to have much more spectacular engraving then this one does but never the less this is my feeling – A Moser type Pokal or Beaker in very fine condition. It measures 13” h and the diameter of the top opening is 4 1/8”. Striving For Excellence It isn’t brilliance or just getting the breaks, It is consistent attention to & honest respect for the Customer.
