Fabulous,one of a kind,sportsman black iron umbrella stand signed on back as well as both removable scalloped bottom drip trays.Additonal photos available. So intricately signed able to tell the exact day was registered in England,Feb 20,1854. The masculine stand was used for many,many years in a hunting lodge in Scotland. Depicts a hunter,standing on the woodland floor with extreme detailing in his hunting garb and boots with rifle,displaying his catch of the day with deer draped over one shoulder,knife,telescope,etc.and a duck showing in his pouch on the other side. The actual bar that holds the umbrellas,canes,etc. is a snake wound around him in the front,its tail looped around the deer's hind legs on the right. The wording "SPORTSMAN" below. Fabulous workmanship. The piece has been professionally cleaned and waxed for protection. Stands on 5 sturdy feet. Measures 33H X 20L X 10.5D.
