Description: An absolutely sensational and most unusual shaped George lll tea caddy in stunning and rich mahogany and being blessed with conch shell inlay to both top and front. The single compartment caddy stands out from the crowd with it's most unusual ovoid shape and the wonderfully shaped lid. The interior has the lid with bone or ivory knob and the silver lining is for the most part intact. The escutcheon is too made from ivory and the box is lucky enough to have a working key. The condition is outstanding especially as it dates to around 1800. Measures 6" x 4" x 4 1/2" tall. Worldwide insured shipping included.
