Description:
SIR PEYTON WITH WIVES... a tryptech grouping of Medieval Knight, Sir Peyton, combined with BOTH of his WIVES - for all eternity. Somewhat ironically, the bareheaded Gentleman has his hands in prayer, flanked by Elizabethan? garbed Wives with outstretched imploring hands.
This custom-ordered Plaque, was composed of English Cathedral Rubbings executed by hand-incising 3 heavy Zinc Plates with a mirror-like finish, then mounted together on a 5/8" textured wood panel with blackpainted rustic edges. In good condition with few minor blemishes for its 30yrs, it can be wallhung, or incorporated with outer frame to make a excellent tabletop for an appropriate "castle"
