Description:
This is a tall and unique English three tiered Cranberry Opalescent epergne most likely from the Edwardian period ca. 1905 - 1920. The style is that of Pairpoint Mfg. but the base is in spelter, and not Pairpoint silver plate. The bowls evidence a dimpling reminiscent of Boston & Sandwich, but the total form is definitely English. At almost 25"" tall it qualifies as a ""surtout"" the French word describing that piece which is higher than any other item on a table. This is not an epergne to be missed!!
