Description: This is a vintage 1920s reproduction of a skimmer from a 17th century design. The brass skimmer measures 17.5 inches long 7 inches in diameter, has copper studs and was made in the 1920s in Birmingham, England probably by the Crosbie foundry. Skimmers are still very popular as wall art and often hang by warming pans and horse brasses by English firesides and in pubs.
