Description:
This exquisite bachelors chest was originally made for the British RAF around 1970 and was recently restored by a traditional cabinetmaker in England. The restoration included the addition of fine burl walnut veneers, hardware, moulding and base, although the sides and frame remain the same. The result is a fine, elegant chest that not only boasts its own unique history but displays a deep, lustrous walnut complexion and a striking grain that are sure make a lasting impression in any setting. Each drawer of course features dovetailed joints, indicating fine quality, while the shaped bracket feet are as sturdy as they are elegant. The original sides do show some wear marks, however, and the top has a veneer repair. Otherwise, this beautiful bachelors chest remains in excellent condition.
