Description: This stunning elm chest of drawers is the product of a full restoration performed on an original RAF chest decommissioned from the military around 1970. The "carcass" or frame of the chest remains original, while the surface of the chest has been re-fitted with quality elm veneers, new feet and top, and brass swan neck pulls. Each of the five drawers features dovetailed joints, indicating fine quality, which is not only readily apparent in the exquisite appearance of the burl elm and brass hardware but also in the firm, steady structure itself. Overall, therefore, this chest is now in excellent condition.
