Description:
This handsome mahogany marble top cabinet is called a washstand and would have originally been located in the bedroom. Its size and design makes it extremely adaptable and could be used as a server, in a hall or as an end table. The entire cabinet is covered in dramatic flame mahogany woods. The tall backsplash has a uniquely designed moulded crest with applied dropped finials. The marble is original and in excellent condition. Notice the graceful serpentine drawer front. Below are 2 recessed panel doors that have their original working locks with key. Inside is a single shelf. There are curvaceous squared half columns on the sides supported by scrolled feet. The finish appears original and is in excellent condition having a deep rich color and patina.
