Description: Empire large deep rich mahogany bench,stool or coffee table from 19th century Italy is very masculine with thick twist rope style legs and cross bars. Wonderful unique coffee table as well. Feet are carved as heavy rope knots matching the center carving on the support leg beneath. Carved large beading or smaller rope design on the deep oval apron. Newly upholstered and padded in camel finely woven linen with double welting. Very minor wear to the finish. Excellent conition overall with wonderful stability. Measures 53L X 28W X 18H.Stunning at the end of a bed for putting on shoes and socks,etc.
