Description: Victorian Punch Work Sampler Motto featuring THE LORD'S PRAYER" in beautiful condition. The embroidery work is in a nice gilt lined frame measuring 21 1/4" x 25" with the Motto measuring 15" x 19". The colors are still very vibrant and there is no visible damage. The Prayer is stitched in different font styles in red surrounded by green foliage and center graphics. Excellent Condition and a real keepsake. These Motto embroidered samplers reflected sentimental thoughts and religious themes and were popular during the late 19th c.
