The dial on this one looks black but it is actually charcoal grey. It looks great with the stylized gold numerals. In the bright sun it becomes a dark, metallic silver! The case is gold filled with a stainless steel back measuring 25mm wide by 39mm in length. The case is in near mint condition due to the fact that this Elgin has been pampered over the years since it was made circa 1948. The crown is crispy and original - displaying the name ELGIN! Elgin watches were always elegant and reliable which is why the Elgin watch company became the largest producer of watches in the world.
