Description: This is an Elgin, USA hand engraved solid 14kt yellow gold full hunter case pocketwatch. The pocket watch serial number is 4114708 and the date of manufacture is 1890, and the case is a No. 1, Fahy's, Montauk New York. There is a scratched script signature on the inside back case of A. L. Castle. The lever set pocket watch and measures 1.5 inches in diameter by over .5 inch thick and has a total weight over 41.2 dtw or just over 2 troy ounces. The hand engraved design is beautifully done and features ornate flowers, a bird and on the reverse a fancy floral surrounded shield for a monogram. A wonderful piece in working condition with only minor signs of wear from use. Shipping in the US by USPS signature required insured.
