Description:
This enchanting Neoclassical chandelier is constructed of pewter, from 1910, and displays a fantastic silver-plating. Beginning with an incredibly ornate canopy, which features leafy gadrooning about the upper edge, helix and foliate details within the middle portion, and a fluted bottom, this chandelier is awe-inspiring. The antique chain meets a superior loop finial above an octagonal center rod, which descends towards an octagonal-shaped, urn-style body. The body of this chandelier showcases helixes, trefoils, palmette adornments, and it draws to a close with a swaying bottom finial. Surrounding the upper part of the body is a fluted platform, from which sprout each of the five, S-curved arms. Each of the hexagonal shaped and twisted arms swoops down to meet elaborate bobeches. Each of the bobeches supports four twinkling crystals. This chandelier is in excellent condition, has been professionally rewired, and it comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This chandelier is 20 ¼” at it’s widest; the length of the chandelier only is 15 ¼”; the total length is 35 ½.”
