Description:
An Edwardian Sterling silver sugar bowl made by William Aitken (marked WA) and hallmarked for the Birmingham Assay office 1905. It has an interesting Tudor Rosebud type shape which is very pretty and must have been quite innovative at the time it was made and is so quintessentially English. It's in good condition, although there is a bit of minor spotting on the bottom of the inside and a tiny pinhead ding on one shoulder and some polishing wear, none of these signs of age and character detract from what is a delightful piece of 100 year old antique English silver, a real treasure.
