Description:
This fine quality brooch is modelled in the form of a racing horse with jockey. The frame is platinum, with the body encrusted with forty-six original, predominantly old cut diamonds. Some of the smaller diamonds are old Dutch cut. The horse's eye is a carbouchon sapphire and the sadle is an enamel panel. The jockey is also enamelled. This brooch is a fine example of its type. It is set with very good diamonds, all original, ranging from colour H and clarity SI1. Apart from the tiniest marks to the enamel the brooch is in excellent condition. Dimensions: Length 5cm/2" Height 3cm/1.2" Weight 23.7g Total diamond content 2.35ct approximately. Total number of diamonds 46. Alternative images and further information supplied on request.
