Description:
An absolutely stunning gentleman's travelling travel case with an incredible interior looking as if it has never been used. Of course, this could quite as easily be used buy a lady for an interesting and most unusual jewelry box. One small fault to report, the catch which is opened and shut with pulling the left hand button downwards .. when shut and I have had it shut, it is hard-ish to open again and the tab above has a small rip where somebody has tried to hard. If you were to want to use it on a regular basis I would suggest not shutting secure, and this is how I will ship it .. all mentioned for accuracy. The dual lids open to reveal an exquisite interior with the gold embossed British registration mark for 1904, which enables us to date it as true antique and true Edwardian example. The two side pockets are gold embossed, one for Ties and one for Gloves .. each is untouched and still has the packing paper inside. The central circular compartment is of course for collars and there is a lift out tray, perfect for cufflinks and like (or jewellery for you ladies). A lovely and very unusual piece, measuring 11 1/2" long x 6" wide x 4" tall. Item ID: 31069 -------------------- FREE Registered Worldwide Airmail Included; Insurance Optional.
