Description: ¡Muy fabuloso! … This pre-Eagle brooch is a sublime example of early Mexican silver répoussage. It depicts an angelfish, with lovely large and undulating fins; a large, plump body; incised mouth; and a small, bezel-set, green turquoise cabochon for its eye. The fins also boast wonderful hand crimping, which enhances the overall detail and definition. The pinback is fitted with an old-style C-clasp.

Hallmarks: SILVER; MADE IN MEXICO. Dimensions: 2-1/4” tall x 2-1/2” wide. Condition: Hailing from the 1930’s or ’40s, the piece is in excellent vintage condition, with a couple of age-appropriate scratches on the fish body that probably can be buffed out.
