Description: Early NuArt Carnival Vase, Stretch Glass. This is a turn of the century glass vase. It was made by Imperial Glass co. They call this colored glass caravel glass, because in the depression, a lot of it was actually premiums. This vase appears to have a clear base. Then the color was applied and stretched into shape. This particular vase was probably colored and then refired rather than stretched. This causes the crackle effect in the glasses finish. There is a slight chip about the size of a pen tip, which I have pictured for you to see. The inside of the vase feels vertically ribbed. I hope you will enjoy this one for many years.
