Description:
Good quality 9 3/8" s.e./d.e. blade shows smooth gray patina, few tiny salt and pepper speckles only. Wood hilt with rounded section foliage embossed silver top mount and matching hexagonal base mount. The matching scabbard chiseled and embossed in scrolling foliage with overlaid pierced top piece. The scabbard and both hilt mounts made of silver both sides. The matching tip mount with silver overlay (little wear). That construction to absorb the wear to the scabbard tip which invariably occurs with these examples. Wood hilt shows rich glossy patina with minor grain opening. The silver excellent with a few small bruises and one shallow knife cut at the tip. Mounted with a black cord belt later in its working life. Very showy.
