Description: This rare Antique Icon Box made to hold a rosary. Four faceted red garnet stones surround the oval encased image of St.Theresa on the top. It is in great condition, there are a few spots of mild tarnishing, otherwise excellent. There are no repairs to this very old piece anywhere. It measures 1 3/4" by 1 1/4". Probably dates to the early 1900's. All the stones are secure and bright, and the oval over the icon's portrait has no scratches. It appears that the icon may have been hand-painted. A great treasure for the collector!
